During the same period, they have catered to the housing needs of more than 30,000 families by way of residential plots developed by them and by way of flats, bungalows, row houses constructed by them in the form of one or the other property of Thakkers. Their presence is conspicuous in almost all the major areas of the city.

Thakkers created not only landmark of residential buildings and commercial complexes, they have also raised a police housing project of 288 residential quarters for the Police Personnel. Similarly, housing colony has been raised by Thakkers for the well known Raymond Steel Company.
